NOA Headquarters | Bolzano — Italy
NOA's new headquarters in Bolzano was created with the aim of reinterpreting contemporary workspaces, transforming them into a dynamic, flexible environment deeply linked to the studio's architectural vision.
NOA’s new headquarters in Bolzano was created with the aim of reinterpreting contemporary workspaces, transforming them into a dynamic, flexible environment deeply linked to the studio’s architectural vision.
The project covers 1,000 m² on the top floor of a building located in the city’s exhibition centre, previously divided into small rooms and corridors. The project aims to create an ecosystem that stimulates creativity, collaboration and exchange, reflecting the collective’s identity and coordinating the satellite offices in Milan, Turin and Berlin.
The space has been conceived as a changing organism: the furnishings are continuously reconfigured and the rooms can change function as needed. At the centre is the lobby, the beating heart of the building, a large, bright space that opens onto a terrace with views of Castel Firmiano and the Renon plateau.
The lobby, together with the terrace, houses a lounge area furnished with pieces from Italian companies such as Baxter, Billiani, Infiniti Design, Moroso, Pedrali and Sitlosophy, configured as a veritable showcase of design.
A six-colour chromatic system defines the entire environment, representing the different souls of the studio – from urban planning to product design – and creating a coherent and immersive visual narrative. The use of colour becomes a code, a language and a tool for architectural enhancement.
The spaces also include meeting rooms, a kitchen, a materials library, an archive area and flexible workstations. The use of natural light is maximised through large openings and skylights, while indoor vegetation and a green roof complete the atmosphere of well-being and connection with the outside world.
The result is a fluid and vibrant working environment, where architecture, interiors and design merge into a single spatial and sensory experience.
