The JW Marriott Marquis Dubai is the second highest hotel in the world
The 72-storey (1,165 ft) JW Marriott Marquis Dubai is the second tallest hotel in the world, a two-tower skyscraper complex in the Sheikh Zayed Road Business Bay in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. It was designed by the architectural firm Arch Group Consultants. Its construction began in 2007 and was completed in 2012.
The shape is inspired by the date palm tree. The towers are arranged symmetrically on the 7-storey podium to provide views of the Burj Khalifa, the Business Bay and the sea.
The entrance lobby is 4 storeys high and overlooks Business Bay.
The podium terrace features one of the largest spas in Dubai, as well as gardens and a swimming pool.
With the first tower open, the hotel includes 14 dining options, rooftop bars, a business centre, conference rooms and a large banquet hall, as well as a swimming pool and gymnasium.
The hotel has 1364 standard rooms, 240 suites, 04 presidential suites, a banquet hall, an auditorium, 18 shops, 19 restaurants and a spa.
The banquet hall, with a capacity of 1,000 people, has independent access.
