JW Marriott Marquis | Dubai

Located in Dubai's Business Bay district along Sheikh Zayed Road, the JW Marriott Marquis is a twin-tower complex of 72 floors and 355 metres in height that held the Guinness World Record as the world's tallest hotel from 2013 to 2018. An Emirates Group project representing an investment of $490 million, it is Marriott International's first Marquis-branded hotel to open outside North America. The two towers the first inaugurated on 27 February 2013 and the second in April 2014 rest on a seven-storey podium housing all the hotel's public areas

The architectural project, designed by Archgroup Consultants, draws inspiration from the trunk of the date palm tree, a symbol deeply rooted in Arabian culture: the curved glass and aluminium façade extends over approximately 134,000 m², with cantilevered balconies and spires emphasising its verticality. Interior design was by LW Design Group, lighting design by Kardoff, and Saray Spa design (4,000 m²) by Finex. The main contractor was Brookfield Multiplex.

The 1,608 rooms and suites offer panoramic views over Dubai’s skyline and the Water Canal. The dining offer spans 19 restaurants and bars, including Prime 68 steakhouse, Izakaya Japanese restaurant, Rang Mahal by Atul Kochhar for Indian cuisine, Tong Thai, and rooftop bar The Vault on the 71st and 72nd floors. A ballroom for 1,400 guests, 30 meeting rooms, a state-of-the-art fitness centre and outdoor pool complete the property.
