With the commissioning of its third production kiln, GSI Ceramica reaches a capacity of 1,800 pieces per day, consolidating a path of technological excellence developed alongside Sacmi.
The commissioning of the third production kiln is not simply a capacity expansion: it is the result of a precise and consistent technological choice, developed over the years through a close collaboration with Sacmi, a global leader in innovative machinery and systems for the ceramic industry.
GSI Ceramica has integrated some of the most innovative and efficient high-pressure casting systems available in the sector. These installations guarantee absolute repeatability, identical pieces with no dimensional variations, and high volumes with very low scrap rates. The kiln is not a standalone element: it is the heart of a production system in which every component — from shaping to firing — works in an integrated, controlled manner.
„With this type of technology, we maintain a competitive final cost because our machines can meet different market needs by offering high-quality and efficient products, while ensuring repeatability, identical pieces without dimensional variations, and therefore high volumes with very low scrap rates”
The third kiln is part of an advanced production approach that has radically transformed the company’s response times to market demand. Thanks to the integration of new thermal machinery — kilns and dryers equipped with heat recovery systems — GSI Ceramica is now able to produce and deliver a non-stocked item in a timeframe equivalent to one-tenth of what it was previously.
This achievement is not only about speed: it is about reliability. The certainty of delivery times allows the company to retain existing clients and attract new ones, strengthening its position in both the Italian and international markets.
The journey does not stop at the third kiln. The development plan includes the introduction of a new kiln with significantly reduced energy consumption, further robot-based handling systems, and new integrated logistics solutions. A vision in which every investment in firing technology is considered in relation to the entire production cycle and process sustainability.
With 94% of production managed through advanced technologies, GSI Ceramica now stands as a reference point for companies in the ceramic sector that see technological innovation as a tangible lever for global competitiveness.
