Twin Shops | Turin – Italy
Twin Shops was born from the desire to enhance the memory of the place: a former automotive workshop, converted into a design shop specialising in lighting. The raw elements and traces of the past have been preserved and reworked as archaeological fragments, recomposed with minimal and contemporary interventions that highlight their layering.
The intervention draws inspiration from the techniques used to reconstruct ancient vases, where original parts and new fillings dialogue harmoniously. The result is an authentic, material space in which historical value becomes an integral part of the aesthetic.
The project expanded with the opening of a twin space, dedicated to art publishing and workshops on art and literature. The relationship between the two environments defines a hybrid concept, where light, design and culture coexist within a single narrative system.
