Nose Apartment | Kyiv – Ukraine
Nose Apartment is a project built around a poetic and minimal concept, inspired by iconic elements recalling the hand of Michelangelo sculpting the David. The goal is to create an essential, sensory and perceptive space, where natural materials, strict geometric lines and very few decorative elements come together in perfect balance.
The centrepiece of the apartment is the decorative plaster applied to walls and ceiling, a finish that imitates paint worn by time. Applied by hand, it generates a soft, organic texture inspired by Mediterranean and Tuscan architecture. This continuous surface envelops the spaces, dissolves the boundaries between functions and transforms the interior into a single coherent volume.
The visual contrast is entrusted to the furnishings: sharp geometries that emerge against the painterly surfaces. The large-format floor evokes slate, with a natural texture that dialogues with the imperfection of the plaster. Marble details and raw wood accents complete the material palette, creating a balance between roughness and refinement.
The private bathroom space, separated only by a glass panel, introduces an ironic and theatrical note into the project. A radical, intimate and sensory interior, true to the essential poetics of the studio.
