Jumeirah Mina A’Salam | Dubai
Located along Jumeirah Beach Road in the Umm Suqeim district, Jumeirah Mina A'Salam is the boutique centrepiece of the Madinat Jumeirah complex. Its name, meaning "Harbour of Peace" in Arabic, perfectly reflects the character of the hotel: a sanctuary of Arabian elegance overlooking the Arabian Gulf, with direct views of the Burj Al Arab. Seven floors of architecture inspired by the traditional Arabian citadel, with navigable waterways, wind towers and lush gardens that recreate the spirit of historic Dubai
Inaugurated in September 2003 as the first hotel within the Madinat Jumeirah complex, Jumeirah Mina A’Salam was conceived by DSA Architects International to evoke the harbour activity and maritime traditions of historic Dubai. In 2022-2023, the hotel underwent a thorough interior transformation, officially unveiled in early 2023 to mark the property’s twentieth anniversary. The works, carried out by ISG Middle East over a 43-week programme covering approximately 12,800 m², encompassed all 291 rooms and suites across seven floors, the Two Bedroom Ocean Terrace Suite of 283 m², the two Royal Suites, all corridors, the lobby, the Majlis Al Salam and Majlis Al Mina ballrooms and the Amal Club Lounge.
The interior design was entrusted to La Bottega by Intice, founded by Sahar Al Yaseer: the concept centres on a contemporary Arabesque aesthetic, featuring warm neutral tones, bespoke timber flooring, generous windows that fill spaces with natural light, and carefully placed colour accents that enliven the palette without disrupting its harmony. The refurbishment preserved the original façade while elevating interiors with premium materials, marble-clad bathrooms in the suites and panoramic terraces overlooking the Arabian Gulf. Lighting design was handled by John Cullen Lighting. The hotel’s offering includes five restaurants and bars, two kilometres of private beach, access to Talise Spa and Wild Wadi Waterpark, and direct abra connections to the sister properties within the Madinat Jumeirah complex.
