Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates | Dubai

Located on Sheikh Zayed Road in the Al Barsha district, the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates stands as one of Dubai's most distinctive luxury hospitality landmarks. Directly connected to the Mall of the Emirates and to Ski Dubai, the Middle East's only indoor ski slope, the hotel extends across 47,000 m² over 17 floors, offering 373 rooms and suites and 20 exclusive Aspen Chalets overlooking the artificial slopes

Originally opened in April 2006 to a design by Wilson Associates, the Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates underwent an extensive phased refurbishment beginning in 2012 and completed in March 2016, with the first phase unveiled in December 2015. The renovation, valued at 368 million dirhams, encompassed the entire property: the façade, the lobby, the Aspen lounge, the Olea and Noir restaurants, meeting rooms, public restrooms and all 373 guestrooms, suites and 20 Aspen Chalets overlooking the Ski Dubai slopes.

The refurbishment was led by Aukett Swanke as lead consultant and architect, while the interior design of guestrooms and public spaces was entrusted to Wimberly Interiors, part of the WATG group. The Olea restaurant and Noir bar were designed by Bassos Design. The interior concept draws subtly on the hotel’s unique setting: cool tones, crystal elements evoking ice, timber accents and dark metallic finishes blend with Arabian touches and natural materials, composing an environment of refined elegance. The hotel’s facilities include nine meeting and conference rooms, an outdoor pool, a spa and several dining venues including Salero Tapas & Bodega, Olea and Aspen by Kempinski.
