In the Passeier Valley, a few kilometres from Merano and set within the lush mountains of South Tyrol, the Quellenhof Luxury Resort Passeier is one of the most comprehensive and celebrated mountain wellness resorts in Europe. The property's story begins in 1897, when Sorgente was little more than a village inn; acquired by the Dorfer family in 1923, it grew from generation to generation to become, under the visionary leadership of Heinrich Dorfer, the great complex that now houses 160 rooms and suites across three distinct Guesthouses, each with its own character and vocation
The Quellenhof is articulated across three major Guesthouses that developed over time through a process of continuous expansion. Guesthouse Q is the historic body of the property: here reside the history-rich reception rooms, dining rooms, bar, vinotheque, cigar lounge and the celebrated Gourmetstube 1897, a gourmet restaurant holding one Michelin Star and three Gault & Millau toques. In 2004, Guesthouse P (Parkresidenz) came into being, a world unto itself at the heart of a private 7,000 m² park, with a Family Spa, Penthouse Suite, Presidential Suite, the Sky Chalet with astronomical observatory, the Sky Restaurant Teppanyaki and the Quellenhof Spa. Completed in 2009, Guesthouse V (Vitalresidenz) accommodates high-end suites and two chalets with organic Organo water, the adults-only Vital Spa, indoor and outdoor pools, salt worlds, a natural swimming pond, a 25-metre infinity sports pool and the Medical Center, an absolute innovation in South Tyrolean mountain tourism at the time of its opening. In 2018, the Parkresidenz was further extended with new suites of approximately 100 m². Private residences complete the offering for families and groups.
The complex further features the large Aqua Family Parc water park, the Action Parc adventure area, 18 holes of golf, 7 clay tennis courts, stables, bowling, skiing and a rich programme of outdoor and indoor activities for every season.
