Appartamento Legenda | San Pietroburgo
In the Legenda residential complex in Saint Petersburg, Olga Mudryakova's studio designed a three-room apartment for a young family with two children. The goal was to transform a space with strong architectural foundations into an interior of distinct personality, capable of reflecting the clients' taste and mood from the very first project meetings
“The work on the project was difficult but incredibly interesting. The clients knew exactly how they wanted to organise their home and we captured their mood. As a result of our collaboration, an eclectic interior was born, complex in its colour combinations.” So describes the project designer Olga Mudryakova, whose studio has been active in Saint Petersburg since 2006 on residential and commercial commissions across Russia.
The chromatic complexity that characterises the apartment’s main spaces finds its fullest expression in the two bathrooms, where the choice of sanitaryware became a central design element. The main bathroom features the Color Elements collection in the Ghiaccio finish: in this context, the finish reads like a brilliant gem, combining an innovative and decisive spirit with a trend-forward colour while retaining elegance throughout. The second bathroom was given the Bistro finish: a shade inspired by soot, that organic brown pigment traditionally known in painting as the “colour of shadows” for the infinite nuances it brings to a surface. The Bistro finish thus defines a space that is distinctive, original and full of character.
